Winter Weight Gain and Prevention
Weight gain in winter season is natural to most of the guys. Isn’t it? I think its true that in winter people gain more weight than other seasons. Most of the people don’t know the reasons behind that. It’s very easy to gain some weight but much difficult to loose it even in other seasons.
Why people gain weight in winter? I am going to discuss this thing in the next paragraphs and also I will discuss how to prevent your self to gain some extra pounds in winter. So my main questions for discussion are why weight gain happened in winter? How we can avoid weight gain in winter?
There are so many reasons to gain weight in winter season. Research shows that human being genetically pre-disposed to accumulate extra fat in winter season. It also happens with animals also. When the temperature is too low i.e. when winter is at its peak then body of human being used the extra fat layers to keep up warm. Also in winter it’s also common to choose foods rich in fat.
Also weight gain may occur because of depression, excessive appetite, sleeping disorders etc. when winter begins then there is less daylight which leads to winter depression for some people and because of this people over eat food.
In winter foods which are higher in carbs like chips, high sugar treats and cereals are the common choice of human being which leads to obesity. Also eating pies, cookies and chocolates in winter is the first choice of human being. These foods are high in fats and cause obesity problem.
To prevent yourself from this problem, make a goal to eliminate foods containing low fats and high carbs. Foods like potatoes, wholegrain rice, cereals, bread without butter and fresh whole fruit. These foods are also high in fiber which will help us to feel fuller longer.
In winter exercise is a bit difficult task to do. But it’s very necessary to exercise in winter season. Swimming and running is very much difficult in cold weather. So it’s better to join gym in winter season than other exercises.
